Homemade Pork Cracklin's
I tried something last week which I don't recall seeing on the Forum, pork cracklin's.[p]After BGE'ing a butt last weekend I thought why should I throw the fat cap out. Instead, I trimmed off all the fat and put it in the microwave on high for 1 to 4 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fat. It's not what you find in supermarkets but for me it was pretty good. Have any BGE'ers tried this?[p]Two things not to do:[p]One - Don't leave it uncovered in the microwave. Either put a damp paper towel or wax paper on top. Otherwise you'll be cleaning the microwave forever.[p]Two - Don't tell your doctor.
