chicken sandwiches - so simple, but SO GOOD!

These tasty chicken breast sandwiches just amaze us every time I egg them. I simply pound them flat, marinate for 4 hours in Zesty Italian salad dressing - hit with some DP Shakin The Tree rub and egg at 450 direct for 4/4/1. During that 1 I melt half a slice each of Munster cheese and Havarti cheese. Then on to a large butter croissant with some mayo & lettuce. WOWSER are those tasty and so simple!

Those look great. They were going to be my lunch right up until I remembered I don't have 4 hours till lunch.

actually I've marinaded in less time using a Food Saver vacuum container, but really to make the breasts tender and juicy you need the 4 hours at least. I know some people go 24 hours. They are goooooooooooood though and worth the effort!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Morning! Those look mighty tasty--just the right thing for a quick and easy summer eve meal (marinate the chicken that morning). At first I thought the croisants were rustic bread, which we really llloooovvveee! Thanks for the idea

I do something very similar....but add a slice or two of pepper bacon and a shmear of Bomba. Takes it to a whole new level.
I like the croissant idea...I'll have to incorporate that next time. -
I dont know so i will ask. What is 4/4/1? By the way those look delicious

Just guessing here. Since its 450* I'd say its 4 minutes on side 1, 4 minutes on side 2, then 1 minute to melt the cheese.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Strongsville, OhioYes.
