Foods to Demo

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
I have posted before but I am working on getting my user name and password.

So I was in the local BBQ Galore to buy a pizza stone. I was speaking to another customer and gushing over the egg.

The store mgr invited me to do a demo of different foods. What would be some good and easy things to do?

I was thinking of garlic bread, country style ribs for a longer cook, pineapple chicken wings. All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Pork tenderloins are always a good choice, also boneless skinless chicken thighs. -RP

Hey gimmepork, we're doing one mid June and I'm doing the almost fried chicken wings, jalapeno cornbread, and ABT's. Some one else is doing just regular wings and another egghead is baking a couple of pies and cookies.

What is your time limit and what eggs are you demoing on? If you have more than one, you could do a couple of things at once. Good luck.

    These are great ideas. Thanks.

TX Triker, I have a couple of hours and a large egg and possibly an extra large egg.

I will let you know how everything goes and I will start posting pics of my cooks.

Hi Rhonda, we did the at the FL egg fest and they dissapeared. easy and quick and not to $$ I get the big bags at sams and the big jug of salsa.
    grilled Pierogies
    Ingredients:
    12 frozen Pierogies (I used Mrs. T's from Sam's)
    Olive Oil to barely cover
Your favorite Dizzy Pig seasoning (We used regular coarse Dizzy Dust and Cow
    Lick Steak Rub)
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
    In two separate small bowls:
1/2 cup Salsa, 2 Tbls.. chopped Cilantro, mixed
1/2 cup Sour Cream, 1 chopped Green Onion, mixed
    Preparation:
In a large bowl, toss still frozen pierogies with olive oil. Sprinkle with desired
amount of seasoning (we coat them pretty good). Egg at 350° F. indirect for about
4-5 minutes; turn and cook another 3 minutes. Watch that they don't burn. When
hot all the way through turn again and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
Remove and plate. Let them set for a few minutes to firm up. Serve with salsa and
    sour cream.
