I should get in around the same time, Larry. I'll have a van load of Mich Ultra and ribs. Tough life, ain't it? LOL. I'm also swinging up through Raleigh. Jimmy West was nice enough to save all the Maple Leaf he had left for me. I'll have a few small bags available this weekend, too. Can't wait to get a taste of that tomato pie![p]Jim

A man can get might lost in them thar mountains iffin he don't bring whats he's oathed to bring! I hopes that didn't sound like no threat! [p]JSlot (with "Dueling Banjos" playing in the background)

I think Weiner Boy........Oops, I mean Mr. G and RJ are doing some kind of bratwurst/knockwurst hungarian thing. Or it may be a Wisconsin thing. I'm not sure which. Ah, the mysteries of life can be soooooo intriguing![p]Jim

JSlot,[p]Please call me or email your phone #[p]K~G

KennyG, What time are you leaving? Any room in your car? How long does it take to get from here to your place? JCA
-
Mr. Toad,[p]Dunno...but I'll be very unhappy if I don't get the paprikash recipe from Rhum![p]Sounds like a great time. Would love to be there.[p]mShark
-
Julie,[p]My mapping software has led me to believe that the trip to Rodney's might take 8 hours. I'll be leaving Friday morn sometime between 6 and 7AM. I'm the steak chef for Friday night and need some time for prep work.[p]The last couple of times I did the business/highway trip to your neck of the woods, it took 4.5+ hours of "heavy on the throttle". I have room in the car.[p]K~G
-
j appledog,[p]i am setting an another place at the table - by the way, how are you at cooking "armor tube steaks" - kenny probably could use some help
-
KennyG, You and I drive about the same way... I really want to go.
So why aren't I?

Mr. Toad,
Just to clarify, the stuffed papaya will have to wait for another day (Maybe Eggtoberfest?). This is due to the fact KennyG, my wife and I will need full control of the kitchen on Saturday Morning to pull off the feast that we have planned for Saturday Lunch.[p]Here is the menu:
Hungarian Hot Dogs by KennyG
Chicken Paprikash with Spatzel by RhumAndJerk
Stuffed Cabbage By K&K Meats
Pickles & Peppers by Tony Packo’s
Dortmunder Gold by Great Lakes Brewery[p]This meal is definitely a group effort and I hope that everyone will be hungry.[p]I may have to drop some of this food of on Thursday or Friday[p]I have everything just about ready to go.

mollyshark,
When I get a chance, I will enter it.
In the meantime, I use a modified recipe from the Frugal Gourmet’s Our Immigrant Ancestors.[p]Hope this helps,

Mr. Toad,[p]What event is this? Sounds like a load of fun.[p]ST

Mr. Toad, I'm at work and don't have your current e-mail address. A care package is on its way, since I can't be there in person. You might not want to share the wine with all those geezers! UPS tracking #1Z58V9960241412438. XXOO

Some Usinger brats are also on the way, RhumAndJerk, and some "house brand" mustard. Julie
-
Smokin' Todd,[p]This is just another annual gathering of the original, forum founding, BGE "geezers". We get together every year at this time to eat, drink and reminisce - mostly drink. [p]The very first was held here at the KennyG Ranch a couple of years ago. Our dear departed brother, JJ, hosted last year's in AL and Mr. Toad gets to have his house trashed this year. The 2004 event will be at the home of the Master's Tournament in Augusta.[p]It's just a continuous party where we will toast the countless generations of new Egger's we have seen chime in over the years and all their self-appointed leaders who have come and gone.[p]K~G
-
KennyG,
Well stated W.B.Back to the meeting.
Larry
-
YB,[p]That's "Gentleman of Prime" to you, young man![p]K~G
-
KennyG,
Whatever, W~B.[p]Ha.
Everyone can laugh now, but just wait until you eat lunch.[p]This meal will guarantee to clog an artery of two. I am ready to go.

-
J Appledog,
Thank you much. I am sure that they will be enjoyed fully.

Mr. Toad,[p]Also making Portuguese sweetbread. Leaving tomorrow morn.[p]Spin
-
Mr. Toad,[p]Sounds like a good time. Too bad I'm not a geezer. I'm thinking at my age I've got quite a while yet before I get invited to yearly cookout.[p]Oh, well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Strongsville, OhioYes. I own a blue egg! Call Atlanta if you don't believe me![I put this here so everyone knows when I put pictures up with a blue egg in it] -
fiver29,[p]there is the "tao of geezer" - some have even spoken of "geezer zen" - be still and know - it is available to all - there is hope
