Back from Camping

Ginny and I went camping at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, GA this weekend. I went by the local IGA store and met Independent Grocer, Phil Williams. He is a nice guy and has a nice store and if you are ever in the area stop in and say hello.

When we got home today I cooked some bruscetta, ribs, baked onions and french fries. It was all delicious.

While we were gone the Day Lillies bloomed

    Bruscetta:

    Slice the french bread and coat one side with olive oil and the other side with pesto sauce. Chop Roma tomatoes and mix with chopped basil, sea salt & olive oil.

    I cook the bread (olive oil side first) indirect at 300 degrees until the bread is lightly toasted. Then put the chopped tomato mixture on the bread and put shredded mozzarella on the tomato mixture and toast until the cheese is melted...
