Can I smoke Jalepenos in my new BGE? Does anyone have experience with this? Let me know.

Mark Forster,[p]Haven't done jalepeno's but last summer, I did these cayennes. Then I dehydrated them and put them away. Anytime something called for crushed red pepper, I'd pull out mine and use. If it called for ground red pepper, I'd get out the morter and pestle and pulverize some. Also ground some in a coffee grinder (which worked fine, except that I couldn't use it for anything else again, yow!)....[p]cayenne-peppers.jpg[p]QBabe

    QBabe,
Hey, you may have hit on a good idea for a souped up coffee. Fresh coffee beans laced with trace amounts of cayenne pepper should give the drinker a good jump start in the morning. But I think I'll wait for someone else to try it.[p]Spring Chicken

Mark Forster, [p]First I put on a pair of gloves. I cut them in half and then seed them with a tool designed for making woodcuts for printmaking. A grapefruit spoon would probably work. Then I put them on a vegetable rack and smoke them in the BGE at about 225 until they are crisp but not burnt. JCA
