Sat. morning 6:am BGE all fired up and a lovely 8lb seasoned brisket goes in the grill with a new place setter. All is well. Then things begin to change. I am building a tool shed down on the lake and I am carrying supplies to start work - then it happened! I slipped on the wet grass. a loud POP I fall down the hill almost passing out. No cell phone . I crawl up hill.Wife takes me to hospital. brisket doing its own thing. Hours later I get home....right on 250* Twice my wife tweaked draft door a little each time.16 hours later a WONDERFUL brisket was cut. It seemed to have dulled the pain with its fine taste. Isn't life grand(operation 9.am mon morning)

MR H,
My brisket seems to be a bit less challenging than yours. Good luck on your body repairs.[p]Spring Chicken

MR H,[p]I always hate to hear of someone getting hurt but at least you have a good sense of humor about it and a good piece a brisket out of it thanks to your wife. Good luck tomorrow.

Ryan ,
I broke the femur at
the ankle joint with the tearing of muscle and tendon.

Wow, you must be one short dude Mr. H! I said ouch just thinking about your injury. However, you would probably be in much worse shape if you had broken your femur, and even worse than that if it was connected to your ankle. The femur is your thigh bone. The two bones of the lower leg are the tibia and the fibula. No matter which one it is, it hurts just thinking about it!!! Hope you have a speedy recovery.[p]Best Regards,
Jim
