The article missed Missouri, so that rendered it invalid.
 -
I think the man is correct when he stated: "Texas has the best barbecue, but somehow Everett and Jones migrated from the south," Beaty said.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Ahhh Grasshopper . . .
The geographical location of grilling excellence is not located on the physical plane by an ordered pair of coordinates but is enraptured in the Egghead state of mind. . . :woohoo:
Gator -
Gator that is a might left brain for a simple Texan early on a Friday morning. :SSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Good 'Q always leaves me in the state of Happiness :cheer:

LOL, that sort of bubbled up out of the swamp on a bit of methane. It comes from lack of sun in S.W. Florida.
I agree gdenby!
Gator -
I started in Iowa, Erin started in Seattle ... we lived in Texas, and now Maryland ... I've eaten meat cooked over fire in various forms in over 7 countries and states within the U.S. ranging from Alaska to Florida ... I think on every occasion we've enjoyed BBQ (there is rarely 'bad' BBQ, so it is always enjoyable) we have had one common thought regardless of the region ... "We need to get these people an Egg!" ...

I agree with Gator, it is in the egghead state of mind.
And they left out Missouri on purpose, the good bbq from Kansas City comes from the Kansas side! -
Who on the Kansas side makes good BBQ? Just curious.
-
World Pork Expo Des Moines, Iowa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Easy answer...
Whatever state I am in.... -
Was looking for a way to respond - but you stated it perfectly!!
-
I wondered about that too, Rod. Hello...Kansas City??
-
Pete,
Since you are in NC I guess this time you are correct. It is the only state I know of where barbeque is both a noun and a verb. :cheer:
Regards,
Rich -
Gates and Jack Stack both originated on the Kansas side, i will give to Authur Bryant's though, damn good stuff.
But I am biased and a Kansas native that loves to put cole slaw on his pulled pork, go figure. -

It does look like you are getting a bit soggy down there. I guess we are going to get it all weekend.

I think the best state for BBQ is the state(s), where Eggers are Egging!
