Ross,
You can send some to me. With the weather we've been having it will be July before we see any.

Thats to bad I wish everybody could have this Weather
Ross -
Heck, you'll be eating yours before we Canucks even have ours planted!

So where the h@%& is g*& Da@&* Ventura, on the G#$ da%$* equater?
I just planted mine 2 days ago and had to cover them up last night because of #%$# frost. The boxes on the left and center are Earth Boxes and the two on the right I made myself. We are growing Peppers (sweet and Jalapino) Eggplant, Cukes and a couple of varieties of Tomatoes.
Hope they come out as well as yours!
-
Wish I could have your extras. My plants are just starting to bloom. I love tomatoes.

That seems fast - or is time passing quicker than I realize?
I better go buy some 'teenage' plants and get them planted, I wil never catch up if I plant seeds.
Kent -
It just isn't fair, is it?
I think those are just green tomatoes he bought and has glued in there.

Here are my tomatoes in the Earthbox. Pic is not too good (from my phone), but you can see they are at least 5 ft. tall. There are about 10 toms on the left one (Goliath) and a dozen or so on the right one (Sweet Millions).

Also i recently planted some 3 pepper plants and 3 herbs in another box.
Plus two sets of Rosemary in pots.
Having great weather, though it was unseasonable cool the last too nights (50*). -
Nice looking crop there. This is supposed to be the first week we can plant, without fear of freezing.
91° yesterday, tomorrow the high should be 61° with a potential of freezing overnight. Sure hope we have a long summer and fall this year.
I think I will go pick up some plants tomorrow and get things started. It will require a couple of nights in the garage.

I think it is fascinating on this forum to interact with people in different climates - from Monterrey to Canada. We all get caught up in our own little worlds and don't give much thought to other areas. :woohoo:
Here I am hoping to see some red on my tomatoes and you are just hoping to get yours started, while ole Steven is barely getting thawed out!
-
GG,
I feel your pain
I just got my 'maters and peppers in the ground today
-
 Then there is Ross, who will be cooking them in the not too distance future.
I agree with you, not with just growing things but with many things that are talked about here on the forum.
GG -
Better be careful Cory, the cold front hitting us right now will be on it's way to you tomorrow or the next day. We are in for a few days of cold, possible snow up in the Uinta's.

They are just talking rain, but time will tell!Molly

Rain here in the valley, yes. Up in the high mountains east of us, no. Anyway, that what the local recreational weather guessers are saying.

I like growing some of my own vegetables
