some stupid mapp questions.

i just purchased a mapp gas torch thingy.[p]when im starting the coal, should i place the coals how i normally would in the smoker and apply the fire to the center, or should i put coals in the chimney starter, and light the bottom?

start your fire at 4 - 8 - 12 o'clock
and 1 in the middle
3 starts on the outter rim and 1 in the middle will get you going quite quickly.

bbqMon,[p]With MAPP, hold the torch on one place for 12-15 seconds to get it really going. Then move to the next spot.[p]If you don't hold long enough on one spot, it'll go out.
