Another first butt

Put the butt on last night about 6:pm West coast time pretty much stablized at 200-220 for the first 7 hours then , rose to around 250 for a few, After just thriteen hours iam already showing an internal temp of about 195. its about a 8 t 9 pound butt. any comments or suggestions[p]Greg

    G-Man,[p]Sounds like everything is on track. I take my butts to 205 internal. If this is your first butt cook, boy are you going to be in for a treat. [p]I advise you use a large mixing bowl when you go out to take the butt off of the egg. You will see what I mean. [p]Carl T

    Thaks Yep i took it out already . I just thought it wouuld take long than it did, maybe i will check my thermometer and make sure thats okay. So we pulled and we eat pulled pork and 9am. Tasted Wonderfull. Now i will whip up some sauce for dinner tonight. thanks for you input[p]Greg
