Smoked Salmon Question Take 2

The last thread seems to have been mixed in with the rest.

Here's the recipe I am looking to use:

Question is, 6-12 hours at 180* seems like a long time. Is it?

Call it cold, smoked, hot cooked, cold smoked, doesn't matter to me. I plan on doing the cook at 180*

    No, its not too long. That 190 temp is (probably - I didn't read the link) in the dome, so the grid should be cooler. I normally smoke mine for 8-12 hours at about 125, which isn't a problem for me because its usually only about 50 degrees behind my house so I can keep the egg real cool. B)
