This is insane, to fly with Air Canada from Toronto to Atlanta for Eggtoberfest, it's $1137.60 CAD return all in.
If I cross the border and fly with Airtran from Buffalo to Atlanta, it's only $199.20 USD return all in.

Wow, that is a huge difference. Cross the border, stay in a nice hotel and have a good dinner before flying and you will still save big money.
-
Absolutely Don.
According to this news article, 25% of passengers flying out of Buffalo are Canadians

Kinda makes you wonder how they can be on the verge of bankruptcy with those prices?

Soooo cross the border..

Back at Christmastime I was told that fully 1/3 of the traffic from the Buffalo airport was composed of Canadians! There is also a direct train from Toronto to the Buffalo airport a couple of time a day...

last year when we took an Alaskan cruise, I found out it was cheaper to fly from Toronto to Seattle, than from Toronto to Vancouver, both with Air Canada. In fact, we needed to stop in Vancouver and switch plane for the Vancouver-Seattle leg, go figure :evil:canuckland

I don't know what I'm gonna do hahah...

I vote for crossing the border. Anybody else?

I use Buffalo for all my US business travel. Very simple. You get all your US Customs stuff done at the Peace Bridge, then about 15-20 minutes to Airport. Easy to Park, Check-in and you are on your way! Always Always Always way Cheaper! (for me, travel distance to Buffalo or Toronto airports is about the same) It's a no brainer! Only complaint, limited direct flights out of Buffalo. But you should be able to get Altanta direct. (American or Delta)
