Hi Ray,
This is going to either crack ya up or kill ya laughing.

Forgot my propane gas was out, had to use the oil and paper towel to light. Could not get the lump in my large to light after 4 tries.

I tried my small, yep, first try. either the lump in my large is old or it may be the Wicked Good that is hard to light.

So I did two separate loads on the small, about 15 wings per batch (give or take a couple)
First thing tomorrow is H.D. for another torch tank.

So,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I can't answer your question. But I will try again.

Perhaps just toss a box of starter cubes under the egg or in the cabinet for times like those. That is all I use. I did the unfried chicken wings yesterday and abt's today. First for both and I'm pleased. Have yourself a wonderful evening.

I do prefer the torch or the weber starter cubes, but was out of them all. :(

Still, got the job done but not the way I thought it would go.
