Thanks Chuck!! Coming from the creator of this fantastic recipe I take it as a huge compliment. The ABT's with the shrimp were just okay. I'm going to stick with pullied pork. There just wasn't a whole lot of flavor with the shrimp.
Mother's Day was great. It's always when you're with your family. I feel blessed to be able to spend it with my mother.

I would think you could use chicken. I'm not sure how well the Dizzy Pig cowlick would go with the chicken.
Maybe Chuck will see this thread and respond. This was the first time I made these. Sorry I can't be more help.

Chuck, I don't know if you saw the thread above this one but "Always Golf" was wondering if you could substitute chicken for the beef. I thought you'd be able to asnwer that question better than me.

I have done them with chicken but use Shakin the Tree instead of Cowlick for the seasoning. I forget where I bought them but I used chicken "chip steak". Basically very thin slices of frozen chicken breast. You could slice it fresh yourself but you do want it thin if you want it to mimic the cheesesteak. Let us know if you try it.

Got to do the cheese steaks! Those Chile Grills are great aren't they? I love mine. I had a few peppers left over so I finished them off last night, That's why I didn't fill up the Chile Grill. I could make a meal off those things. The little cheese Caulk gun from Chile Grill is a nice to have too if you don't have one. It is actually a cookie press with all sorts of designs but it works great for filling peppers.

I could've used the little cheese caulk gun. :) What a mess it was trying to get the cream cheese in the jalapeno. First I used and injector that has a large opeining, that didn't work. I ended up using a butter knife but what a mess. Yikes!! I have a cookie press that would probably work but first I have to find it. :woohoo: Thanks for the info.

It works great but soften the cream cheese up a little in the microwave first. It is clean and fast. This is the one I got from Chile Grill. Made in Switzerland.

I thought so to when I first saw the picture too. It's free standing and I like that it's round instead of rectangular. It works really well and makes a nice presentation.
