I've got some steak kabobs to do tonight but not sure if I should marinade them or simply season them with some DP?? Thoughts??

Recently I made these beef kabobs using a very tasty flat iron steak which I cut in pieces and then marinated in Veri Veri Teriyaki for 6 hours. They were GREAT!

    They look great!!

Did you marinade the veggies, as well as the meat?? I bought pre-made kabobs from publix, but can pull the meat off if that would be better.

no just the meat - not sure what that marinate would do to vegetables - OTOH not being protein I don't know - How about some of you foodies here - what's the answer?

i have marinated veggies before but i am beginning to think why???? everytime i do most marinades are made of vinager and oil the oil burns and the vinager works a littlee.. i would get some dijon mustard and some vinager and give that a try. but as far as adding olive oil it just imparts a bitter taste..... to me.. now on something short like romaine hearts it is not as bad...

    RRP,

You can do either. If you used a high sugar marinade like teryaki the veggies will caramelise a bit more but that will add a lot of depth to the flavour. Same is true of something with a lot of oil.

Thanks everyone. I went ahead and pulled the kabobs apart and am now marinating the meat in some teriyaki that I got at publix. Just put some DP shakin tree on the veggies. Also going to do a warm potato salad and some skewered tomatoes....will hopefully have some pics later tonight.
