I'm in charge of an 8# turkey breast for tonights dinner.[p]What temp and how long should I expect per pound.[p]I plan on using apple wood to smoke lightly and rub with a homemade rub I have.[p]Thanks in advance!

    banker john,
I cook turkey breast at 350° on a raised grid in a v-rack on a drip pan for about 15 minutes per pound or when it reaches internal temp of 165°.

    YB,
Thank you very much. We want to eat at 4 so the 8#er will go on at 1:30... I can wrap it in foil to keep it till dinner time![p]I'm also going to try smoked hard boiled eggs.

banker john,[p]We did the smoked deviled eggs and they tasted great! Really yummy, though for the life of me, I don't remember exactly what I did and can't find my notes at the moment. [p]The one thing I do remember was that I overcooked the hard boiled eggs and they were rubbery (even before they went on the egg). The were really difficult to peel and some of the yolks had turned darker, rather than the pretty yellow. Don't get me wrong, I didn't realize what I had done at the time and went ahead and egged them up and ate them and even with the overcooking, these were pretty good...[p]Next time, I have to get the hard boiling part right and I bet they will be incredible![p]Good luck with yours,
