Overnight fire problems

I did my first overnight slow cook last night, everything was fine when I went to be at 12:30 temp was at 230, when I got up at 6:45 went down to check my butt and the temp was around 100(maybe a little higher). I moved my meat into the oven and restarted my fire, got the temp up to 250 and moved my meat back out.... Is it still safe to eat?

How long had the meat been on the egg when you went to bed?
Hard to say if it is OK or not based on your info. How much salt was in the rub you used? Was the butt boneless or bone in? I know if it was one I Was cooking I would feel OK about it, marginal, but OK - but you are certainly on the fringe, depending on your answers to these questions.
For future reference, many people find a temp in the 250 range is a bit easier to hold, and won't harm your final product in any way.
