OT/Burton Mr. Max tabletop burner

I've been looking at the little table top burners by Burton. They use a little canister which is also by Burton.

Costco has pretty much the same thing made by Sterno. They sell the canisters in a pack of 4 and it's much more economical than the Burton ones at my Ace.

The Costco burner seems more flimsy. I'm wondering if the Sterno canisters would work in the Burton burner.

I also am concerned that while I can find sites that carry the Burton burner, I can't find the Sterno burner anywhere at all online, including the Costco site. So am concerned that I might buy something that I could not get the canisters for later.

But of course, I would prefer to buy the Sterno canisters now as they are 1/3 of the cost of the Burtons.

Does anyone have either of these? Are the fuel canisters interchangeable?

Check out Coleman brand.They have all sorts of accessories and are readily available almost everywhere.

The Coleman is a different type of burner and as far as I know, is not recommended for indoor use. It's also more cumbersome because it has that lid. We do have one of those we use for camping, but the tabletop burners we're looking at are a bit different. They also use a different type of cylinder for fuel.

Gotcha! I have a friend who is a chef that uses the ones you're talking about for catering and doing omlets at brunches,etc.I'll bet Little Chef would know.I'll ask my friend next time I talk to him.

Thanks. Just ask him if he thinks I could use the Sterno canister which is the same shape and size in the Burton burner. I found out about the burners from a local chef who uses them for the same purpose as your friend. But he always buys the Burton canisters at Ace. We live on an island, and I don't think he goes off the island often. I'd rather go to Costco and get a whole ton of them stockpiled at the lower price since I'll be using them a lot.

I have a couple of them...I will be using one at the OKC Eggfest! Mine is a off brand and cost 17 bucks and I love the burner...

Oh..the 8oz or 7.8oz canisters are the same..
