I found a 12 year old large for $250. He says it has no cracks in the it or the fire ring. Does this sound like a good deal?

  • That is a great deal, it's actually what I got mine for. Don't know if the age pushes you back into older style materials where high temps may not be recommended. Hopefully someone who knows more about what they were made of will chime in.
  • One of the Forum members put this together. You may find it useful. Things like how to tell if it is clay or the newer ceramic. I bought a 2-3 year old Large for 200.00 about two monts ago but I know those deals are far and few between. If it is in good shape and does not have a seam, I might give him 250. bones it depends does he have other accessories for it? ie. nest, mates, Plate setter, raised grid ect..?. I might would offer less like 175-200 and see where that gets you. Good luck.

12 year old for $250.00? Too much. Tell him about the Green Book. It should be around $100.
