My brother-in-law has a small egg. wants to know if he can do an Boston Butt on it and how. Will it hold enough charcoal to finish a B. butt? Thanks. Ray

Babyray,[p]Ours went 18 hrs without adding more. We filled the firebox and then continued filling it up into the firering and kept stable at 250°. This was for an 8 lb butt we cooked on a recent camping trip. Turned out AWESOME![p]Your brother-in-law should have no problem doing a butt on the small. Cook it just like you would on a large, i.e. around 2 hrs/lb indirect. We have some split firebricks that we cut smaller to use as ceramic mass and to raise a 2nd grid. We also have an 8" round pan that we usually line with foil (to make clean-up easier). [p]QBabe
