Brisket Burgers...Delicious

I had read on Bobby Flay's website about Beef Brisket Burgers. Ginny and I ground up a 3 lb beef brisket flat and 1 lb of beef tenderloin scraps. I patted the burgers out and added garlic salt, onion salt & pepper. I cooked them at 400 raised direct for 5 minutes on one side and 3 minutes on the other. We also had tater rounds & pineapple head pineapple upside down cake. I cooked the cake in a 10"CI skillet at 375 for 40 minutes. It was delicious....

Yes this is the recipe from the AJC...& yes the tater tots wer cooked on the small...the little guy is cooking great...thanks
the burgers were some of the best ever...i will add some bacon to the brisket next time i grind it up.... -

i made brisket burgers a while back, but i made a big mistake. Alton B talks about having them grind it twice for you. so i ground it twice at home. too fine. i think next time it'll be just the one time through. but they are the best burgers you can make.
folks might poo-poo simple burgers, but when done well, they are hard to beated egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
The gaskets are great...we got the dome on later today...i let it rock at about 500-550 for about one hour and everything was fine....

I ran it through twice on the KA on coarse ground and it came out great. I will add some bacon next time as it needed a little fat but they were delicious burgers. -
Kim, that meal is really over the top. Brisket burgers? OMG sounds delicious.
