Well, the batch of "Eggfest 2000 STOUT" is out of it's secondary, and into bottles, and will accompany "Eggfest 2000 PALE ALE" late April. We hope that 3 and 1/2 weeks of carbonation is enough.

    Smokin' Todd,
This really has my curiousity peaked! I remember when I was about 12 or 13 and my folks got a call about 3am from my oldest brother. He needed my other brother (1 1/2 yrs older than me) and me to come help! Seems he had made a batch of Beer and a batch of Root Beer, bottled it and stored it in the crawl space below his house. In the middle of the night, things were venting themselves! He had beer and if I remember root beer blowing up below the house. It was histerical! We still laugh about that even though it was about 40 yrs ago! It was one reason his first wife said "good-bye"! Oh well! Easy come! Easy go! [p]Is the Eggfest brew subject to that???? Look out world![p]Dr Chicken :^)

Smokin' Todd,[p]I would think that 3-4 weeks should just about do it, especially with the outside temp starting to rise a bit the ambient temp in the bottle should take care of it just fine for eggfest. May not be at its peak but should be awfully close.[p]Tell you what, send a few bottles over this way and I'll let them sit till eggfest and let you know how they taste just before everyone leaves for the event.[p]I have a batch of Honey Lager thats been in the keg in the fridge since January I think - perking away at 38 degrees. I'm just about to tap it and see what the results are. It sure was good 3 months ago, should be good and smooth right about now.[p]If the rain holds off I have a batch of Red Ale/Lager thats on tap this weekend. (yes NB, finally going to get around to it, you'll get your bottles soon) Nothin better than a homebrew and a BGE burger, now thats living.[p]Hope the eggfest beer works out well for you.[p]Troy

    sprinter,
Ooooh boy!! More goodies. I am a gooooooood taster! [p]ST, nice job! They will be just fine. A stout doesn't need a whole ton of carbonation anywho. Look forward to sampling and meeting you in person! [p]NB
