anybody ever hot tub a prime rib?

We're bracing here for a winter storm of sleet and then 3 to 5" of snow but I have a 2 pound prime rib calling our names. I normally prefer a 250 indirect roast and then a reverse sear. I'm thinking of doing at least a partial hot tub for say maybe 30 minutes or 45 to speed up the cook. Anybody have any eggperience or should I just wing it?
