Need a proven recipe that is not too sweet. Fresh whole trout

    Here is an idea, or just place the whole fish with mayo, sour cream mixture on top. little parmesan mixed in and cover with thin lemon slices and seasoning of choice. Bake on or off a plank. 350 about 10-12 minutes per inch of thickness at 350 direct until flakey.

    Salmon, Plank, Cedar, Steelhead Trout, Tom & Shirley LeRoux


    INGREDIENTS:
    1 lb Salmon Fillet (we use Steelhead Trout Alot too)
    Seasonings of your choice
    1 Cedar plank
    Veg. oil




    Procedure:
    1 Take the cedar plank (about 1/8" thick) and rub or brush veg. oil on all sides. Place the fillet skin side down on the plank and season however you like (we use a homemade seasoned salt).
    Cooking Directions:
    1 Place the entire plank on the grate. Cook at 300 for 30 minutes. DO NOT TURN. When removing the fillet to a platter, the skin should remain on the plank - then just throw the plank and skin away.
