OT Our family pet is gone...

Pets are really 4 legged Angels loaned to us by God to teach us how to care, how to love and how to grieve when our pet is called back by the Maker.
Pets are always the first ones to greet you at the door when you come home from a bad or good day at work. Their tail is always wagging when they see you open the door.
Our memories of our pets bring smiles to our faces and one day we will meet again; I'm sure that pets have a special place in Heaven. God Bless. -

My sympathies. I fear that we are on the same course with our Pepper. Lord, I hate to think about it. It's like a member of the family.
Get another ASAP.
Blessings.

Oh man....my heart just skipped a beat. He was such a great dog. Loved to chase his ball.
I'm so sorry Doug. -

It's sad to loose a "member of the family". We are on our 2nd westy (Westhighland White Terrier) and he is geting up there in age (77 people yrs) and dread the thought of the trip to vet when it is time :(aka marysvilleksegghead

I said to my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?' She said, 'I want to go somewhere I've never been before.' I said, 'Try the kitchen.'

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a family pet is so tough on us Humans. We've had so many pets over the years, cats, dogs and ferrets, and each time we lost one it really hurt, no getting used to it. I cry every time we go through it. I have always written a kind of Eulogy for each of our pets we've lost, sounds weird to some, but it always helped me to cope. I always felt I owed each one of them that remembrance. Still go back and read them, it always makes me cry some more, and smile a lot.

The loss of a pet is a very difficult time. They so quickly become family members.

You did the right thing as tough as it was and still is. We had to put one of our Boston Terriers down a couple of years ago. We cremated him and he sits on the mantle today. Tough deal.

One last posting before we let this thread pass. I want to thank all for the kind wishes and for those who have had to do the same for their aminals, sorry for your loss too.
