Has anyone found some grilling tools that can survive the dish washer? I am getting sick of washing mine by hand :pinch: I need another set of tongs and a spatula.

My wife just throws my thongs into the washer. :woohoo:

Sorry, had to do it. It must be the Pain killers.

Dude, Thats not right!!

Trying to get the mental picture out of my head... arggghhhhhh

I have NOT tried them but the new weber all metal set looks dishwasher safe you might give them a try. This is the greatest signature EVAR!

I use some that I purchased from the Big Orange Store that have a type of black plastic in the handle that survive the dishwasher just fine. But I don't like the tongs, too bulky.

I disconnected the heating element in my dishwasher and air dry...it couldn't dry water trapped by the upside down cups and mugs anyway. Now pretty much everything is dishwasher safecanuckland

As for tongs, get the OXO 16" steel tongs. Work great and have a good feel.

Most things are dishwasher safe in our house, even the grates:
Another vote for the OXO tongs.
(OT -previous comments remind me of the one about the chap at the sandwich factory who kept getting caught putting his "tool" in the cucumber slicer.....) -
I have the 12" OXO all metal tongs and love them.
Need me some 16 inchers for those sears on the spider. And we all know, "longer is better". :woohoo: -
I had to do a double take, thought you had borrowed my dishwasher. Just checked on her though, she's upstairs resting up for tonights washing tasks. Same red collar and gold tag, i really thought you had my Lab

Sadly a lot older than she was in that pic, not as good at washing up as she used to be. We called it the puppy prewash and still frighten visitors with it - just watch them as you casually put the plate back on the shelf

I have the 12inch oxo tongs and a pair shorter than that that I use to handle my raw meat with. I have been meaning to get the old 16incher, but I keep forgetting about it. But they hold up great in the dishwasher, I use them for everything.
