I was wondering what other eggers were doing to lose the weight. Is it execise, diet or a combination and would you be willing to share them.

I have been exercising four or five days a week for one hour on the elliptical and on a stationary bike. soon I will be out rowing. I use my heart monitor religously to ensure I stay within the fat burn and aerobic zones.

I have also reduced the amount of pasta, starches, sweets, white bread and almost all snack foods. I do eat red meat but now I eat significantly more pork and chicken.

Last question is ow do you fight the urge to keep pigging out?

Thanks

When I started this time I was staying under 1500 calories a day. I lost 15-16 pounds pretty quick. Now I am just eating in moderation. I was walking for about 45mins a night, have slaked off lately. I sneak a chip or two every once in awhile but no pigging out. My weakness though is peanut butter. My wife makes me keep my own jar because I eat spoonfulls at a time. I have been doing better in the last week or two. My big thing is staying out of the snack machines at work. (easily 2000 calories in sweets a day)

A few years ago I had a bet with a guy at work to loose weight. I starved myself, stayed under 1000 calories for 3 months. I lost 52 pounds and was down to 175. I felt great at first, but even my doctor told me to eat more. I became miserable and unhappy.

The wife and I went to Vegas and I pigged out at every meal. That's when I relieved I needed to find a happy medium. I did well for a couple years. Then started to put on weight about a year and half ago. (I got my egg about a year ago BBQ and steaks 2-4 times a week.)

Since January I am down 22 pounds and I am shooting for another 15 before june. I will just keep enjoying in moderation and start walking some more.
  • I also keep telling myself the egg made me do it and my wife goes yea right
