    EggKamper,
I am building a table where the egg stays in the nest. You can roll it in and out of the table and a door swings shut while it's in so you can't tell the difference. It's still in blueprint phase, but I'm getting close!

EggKamper,[p]The nests generally go retail for $72, the covers for a large are $30ish, and the side tables are a little over $50. How used or weathered are they and somebody here may be interested for a bargain price.[p]Buster
  • wardster,
That sounds cool - I'd like to see that. I'm almost finished with a table that will just go next to Mr. Egg who will stay in his nest. Same height and everything and just that much more work space, plus I didn't have to make circular cuts, etc. Probably enough room on it for my small, once I get one. Found a kind tile dealer who hooked me up with sufficient tile (I'm going with a brown and blue checkerboard look because those colors were free and they didn't have egg green in stock) gratis. I'll post a pic when it's finalized. My dad helped me build it - we had a good time listening to bluegrass, doing a little carpentry, drinking a few beers and shooting the bull. That evening we cooked a boss flanksteak on his small. A fine day indeed.

EggKamper, well the obvious answer is: Buy another EGG without the cover, nest or side tables. Then you have something to put in the new table and a second EGG to boot. Great idea or what?

    BubbaGump,
All my stuff is in great shape. I dont leave my egg uncovered or out in the weather. I bring it in the garage.[p]However the second egg idea is a good one. I also like the sound of egg that rolls into the table.[p]Tom
