Moving stuff around in the freezer over the weekend and came across 1/2 of a wild turkey breast. Got home late from the office so I did a quick marinate using McCormicks Grill Mates Garlic, Herb & Wine marinade. Grilled on the BGE at 375* on a raised grid. Here are some pics.

Flavor was great. The only thing I'm going to do differently next time is I would cut the breast into sections based on the varying thickness of the breast. The thin end on this one got dry waiting for the thick end to get up to the right internal temp. Of course, I ate the dry end so my family could eat the moist & juicy end. ;)

    Looks Fantastic!
What wine did you use or was it in the McCormicks?

  • that looks deliciousand juicy [is that redundant?] well done for a game bird , rather than cutting the meat try several layers of loosely folded foil to protect the thin end. you could even put a layer on top. be sure to put shiney side down to reflect radient heat.

    Loco-
The mix, which is a dry powder, has the wine flavor in it. The only things I added are 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup olive oil, and 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. You can buy McCormic Grill Mates in several flavors at most grocery stores.

While I'm a beer drinker or straight Vodka drinker my friend bought us both a shot of Wild Turkey about three weeks ago. I've had it before but that was about forty years ago. :(

Not bad stuff, prefer V.O.

    Wild Turkey to ya,

    Bordello,
Based on some of the ladies that grace your posts from time to time, I'd say whatever your drinking seems to work magic :woohoo:

Bordello, from you posts, you must have a story. Any chance of you passing it on?
