We finally had our fondue date night! LOL it was supposed to be a shuttle launch party but it just did not work out. Now we will have to have a party on Sunday. Dang it LOL Did not end up egging the meat Like I had planned we went with a hot pot instead and everyone dipped and cooked their own. just blanched the vegis and had everything ready that way. Played Jarts and Boccie and had a great time. I usually do a yogurt and honey dip for fruits and forgot the yogurt. so did sour cream with a generousness dose of Pineapple head dizzy pig! it was a huge hit!!

the fruit tower. I got the carved 3 tier piece a yard sale.

one of the tables with food. the green fondue was a wheel of brie skinned and melted and a small jar of pesto mixed in. VERY good.

  • Julie, hard to believe this. I just bought that 3 tier wood thing at Webster flea market last week for $15!!!
Haven't used it yet. I don't think my pineapple that sits on top has holes in in for toothpicks.

Your fruit display looks wonderful and that's exactly what I had in mind to serve on it. Fondue is a great idea for a party.

Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

LOL it is a cool thing isn't it! The "leaves"on the top come out too to serve with I guess. try the dizzy pig and sour cream, it is very good. let it sit to melt the sugar and meld the flavors. we will do it again! See you in Ocala! Julie

Man does that wood pineapple server bring back memories. My mom used to have one. I can remember playing with it as a kid. Made a nice death star for star wars figures as well as a nice rotating base for army men.......... guess you can put food on it too....
