Valeria's basketball team has won all games so far...today after the winning game I asked her what she wanted as a present.....she promptly replied....Pizza on the egg...... :laugh: so here we are....

Burrrrrr here is -24° F. Even though spring is quickly coming it's 21° F and looking for snow on Sunday.

Tell her she's doing great!!! Didn't know basketball was big in Mexico. Figured soccer was. Really kind of depressed with the pics. Been freezing my you know what up hear and all ways look forward to your "warm" pics and a cute girl IN A COAT is not what I wanted to see!! :P

Basketball is played in practically all schools from primary (6 years old) & up, usually is the taller boys & girls who make it.....just like in the States.......but no Michael Jordans around here I'm afraid... :laugh:

40* That's amazing. I didn't realize it got that cold in Monterrey. Guess the altitude contributes some. All your tropical plants tolerate that low temp, I guess?

Most of them are frost tolerant....got a few connifers varieties, live, bur & red oaks, crape myrtles, liquidambars, fruit trees and the sort...some palm varieties have to be wrapped ...and of course the annuals....

Now that you are accomplished on the Egg, you probably want to take up baseball. That way it will not be so obvious about why you have bats stored around the house -- actually designed to keep the boys at a safe distance, in a few more years. :P

i am actually still trying to figure out how to get my cast iron skillett back to normal so i can make some blackened fish tomorrow also... just got to figure out how to do it without reseasoning the pan again.. we made talipia on tuesday and leah was a little hessitant (as she is with alot of things i learn here cause of the heat factor) so i made 3 filets of and after dinner she told me the only thing she would change is how many i made :laugh:

still burping hanger steak from dinner and sausage roll with "Sparky" for lunch from today :evil: but they taste so goooood and looking forward to another day with my egg
