    Smokey,
I doubt it...but they should. Should also make one for the small. As more folks with large/mediums buy small's, they'll want all the assceroies that go with the large. I know I'd like a small plate setter...

  • Chef Arnoldi,
It is nice work, but what is it you would cook on that teeny pit that would need a place setter?? In fact what do you guys cook on it besides "A" steak?[p][p]Dylan

    New Bob,
problem is that 1) it is too big 2) the design doesn't allow the heat and smoke to come around. The answer is to ask Chef Arnoldi to build you one. Let's see, 5 hours at - his picture has him sitting at a desk with a computer, his hourly rate has got to be at least - $115 comes to $575 plus the cost of the original ceramic stone ($11) all totals = $586. I guess you might be better off buying a large with an EGGsttera. LOL [p]But I agree, I want one too.

Q.N.E. tyme, I cook four burgers, 10 hot dogs, 8 bratwurst, 2 cornish game hens, a pork tenderloin and if I had a platesetter I might even cook a 4 LB butt. The little feller is magic.

    Wise One,
You of course are correct, I was not paying attention to the design of the legs, they are not being extended out from the disc to allow for air flow.
Should have had my coffee first. Thanks for noticing.[p]Regards,

  • Wise One,
Really.. I have one sitting around here collecting dust.. I bought it thinking I could do some thighs on it for cook-offs, back in the day. I never could get it to cook as well as the big one.. Plus, it was smaller than had imagined and could only get three thighs on.. [p]I ordered another grill and bolted them together so I could do more but.. I just couldnt get the cook out of it I wanted.. Plus I had so much trouble with the hinges, I just kinda gave up on it..[p]I will say that a 91/2 inch (almost sure thats the size) springform pan fits right in it and if you take the bottom out of it, you can put the grill right in its place and snap it closed.. Gives you some height above the fire..[p]You think you can get a long enough burn to do a butt.. Not much room for lump? [p]

Q.N.E. tyme, you're exacly right about the pan. I actually bought a second grill and Earl brought me some real thin (1/4") firebricks that gives me a pretty good heat deflector. I haven't tried a lo'n'slo on the mini but it should only take about 8 hours to do a 4 pounder. I may just have to load it up and try me one. If so, I might take the little guy up to the lake one weekend.

  • Nature Boy,
Well, I said "back in the day"~~~~~~~~ It was a couple years back Chris and I saw they turn-in 6 so I figured all I need is space enough for 6.. Cause you know my stuff is perfect every time..;-)..[p]I remember e mailing drbbq about something and mentioned it and he ever even told me I was a dork.. Just kinda mailed me back saying I might want to do a few more than 6 ..just in case...[p]Then Qsis mentioned to me she does about 12- 16 of them and picks the best so... hey I finally put two and two together...[p]

  • Q.N.E. tyme,[p]You know, I'm in the market for an egg. I already own a digital camera, so I figure I'll be a card carrying member... Errr, I still need a pocket protector to carry my member card though...
