Can I simultaneously cook meat or fish and vegetables
We are considering the purchase of a large BGE. After watching your promotional video, I'm still wondering whether there's enough grilling space to cook one's vegetables together with meat or fish. Typically, we do miex, cut-up vegetables in a grill topper. Your response will be much appreciated.[p]

Ute Thomas,[p]Don't remember if it was in the video or not, but you can purchase a grill extender. It basically provides a second surface and really adds a lot of cooking space. The link is to the catalog with color photos (pdf format).

Ute Thomas,
Probably not, but as has already been suggest, you can get a grid extender so that you have two cooking levels. If the veggies are on a grill topper, then they probably don't need to be exposed to direct heat, so they could go on the top. Another thing you could consider is wokking your veggies. I will take the meat off when it is done, heat the egg up to 500 degrees or so and preheat the wok, then wok the veggies for about 5-6 minutes. The meat can rest while you do the veggies or go into a warm oven to stay warm if you think appropriate. If you have the veggies ready to go, it doesn't take long to do. Otherwise, draw an 18" circle on a piece of newspaper, put your grill topper on it and see what you think. You may need to buy 2 large eggs! :-)[p]TNW

Ute Thomas, I use a holey-wok to cook my vegetables in and it provides enough room to cook meat along side as long as I'm only cooking for 3 ot 4.
