My egg was an unexpected Xmas gift from my wife. I've done a number of cooks, and figured it was time to share some results.
Yesterday was ribs--baby back and beef:
On the egg--230 indirect, 2 beers in the drip pan:
2 hours in--replenished the beer (mine and the drip pan's)
5 hours in and ready to pull off (with help from the lovely and talented Ellie Grace)
Beef and pork--black pepper and garlic salt rub
Pork--Bad Byron's Butt Rub
These didnt last long. The little carnivore in pic #3 polished off 6 herself.

Looks good! Today I'm trying country style ribs and short beef ribs. It is down-pouring in Illinois but need to start the ribs anyway. This will be my first time with both types of ribs, I have done numerous baby back and spare ribs which all turned out great.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. It consoles me after this weekend's brisket fiasco (will try and post later--But rest assured, we rescued the large piece of cow and were able to feed Ellie Grace again today (not to mention her sibs, Emily, Shelby, and John Parker, as well as my queen, Miss Holli, and a number of assorted teenagers who seem to have taken up residence at my humble abode.)
