i found many reasons to buy a mini (and "convinced" my wife- who agreed with me that it was a great idea (for vacations, small dinners for the 2 of us).
i will fire it up this weekend. does anyone have an idea to make a MINI daisy wheel ? i measured a tuna can, but it was just too small.
also looking to place a grid between the fire rings so that i may place a grate for drip pan or a mini pizza stone.[p]any ideas how to make the slider, slide easier ?[p]thanks
mike

  • Chef Arnoldi,[p]Be careful with the dome on the mini it has a tendancy to get loose and fall off. Happened to me and caused a replacement. I was never able to get it resolved. My experience was not good with the mini and I traded it in for another large. Can't haul it around as easily, but it works great..............

    Chef Arnoldi,
When I first got my MINI I looked into everything to make it work like the bigger models...tried to make pizza, low and slow, ect...
ANd though some will disagree I dont feel the MINI is really made do make it work like your Medium. It's too small. And I can swear that I love the thing, but use it to fire up some steaks and burgers and such.

Mike,[p]Good seeing you at BGE HQ today. As for a daisy wheel for the mini, Smokey's approach works quite well. I find myself, however, just adjusting the lower vent for temperature control.[p]Glad to read that you bought the mini. Have fun with it,[p]Puj

    Chef Arnoldi,
Maybe you could ask Mickey T if he could make a set of rings for the mini? (Mickey? Minnie? No, won't go there.....)[p]TNW
