Do they still make them?
Any Idea on approximate cost?
I am looking to add to my collection. I currently have a large, and just last week my wife surprised me with a small. I would sure like to find a chimenea to go with them.
Thanks to all on the board for all the tricks and tips. You all run a good site.

    Ed,
When we were in the BGE store last July they had several chimneas, both green and blue, on the floor at their store. I used mine several times this past winter and really like it - it gets unbelievably hot after it has been "on" for awhile. If the price has not changed, they are around $200, and the metal stand is another $35. You might want to consider a medium egg nest, though, instead of the stand, especially if you think you will want to move it around at all. I "robbed" the stand for my chimnea and use it with my mini and have my chimnea setting up on a patio stone that is on top of cement blocks.

<p />Ed,[p]Yep - right around $200, including the stand. I picked mine up at the BGE store in Atlanta while visiting relatives (to keep down on the shipping charges).[p]When you get a raging fire in there it really does start to put out the heat. Not as much from the front opening as from all around - once the ceramic gets hot it just RADIATES the heat. We had four people sitting around it last year, and we were all quite toasty.[p]After the ice storm here last year, I picked up a bunch of small logs and branches, cut them to size, and just put them in a tarp beside the house. I just grab a handful of twigs, use a couple of starter sticks or a weber cubes, and get the twigs going. After that I just keep tossing in logs. [p]It's a nice toy. Especially for pyromaniacs. :-)[p]Cheers -[p]Mike
