Taco Burger & Pink Beans
Spring Chicken
Posts: 10,255
I'm just trying out some ideas for the upcoming Eggfests and thought I would share the latest one. This time its a Taco Burger with Pink Beans on the side.
Got the idea from someone who cooked it on their Griddle Q. And since I had never used my Griddle Q on the Egg, I thought now was as gooda time as any to try it out. Works just like the one on the gasser.
Anyway, it turned out pretty tasty, especially the Pink Beans.

Looks good. How did you do those beans?

Leroy, I love the videos you do. The burger and beans looks great! I've never had pink beans, would love the recipe.

I'm intrigued by the Griddle Q. Never seen one before. Do you think it's a worthwhile investment?

bringing to OKC.
Can't wait to see you and Judy.

Thanks.
I like to keep things simple so I just followed the recipe on the back of the can.

Surprisingly good. Easy to make too.

Leroy,
Thanks. I have to move to the Southern US. Too hard to make a meal here.

I first ran across the Griddle Q while looking up something else. I liked it but never got around to getting one, that is until Ron Harper, the distributor rep here in Houston, asked if he could demo one on the Egg at the Coop Party. He wasn't feeling well that day and decided against the demo, but by then I pretty much knew I wanted one for my gasser that I never used anymore. So while I was at it I got one for the Egg too.
Until today I've never used the Egg one but I use the gasser one a lot, especially for breakfasts. It's perfect for bacon, eggs, pancakes, and so on. Easy to clean too.
I've said this before and will continue saying it... It's the best accessory for a gas grill I've seen anywhere. Well worth the price and it comes with a lifetime guarantee, just like the Egg.

Thanks. I'm finding that videos often help explain some things better. Fun to make too.
Here's the recipe:

Enough for me and another one for me, because I may be cooking two things. Trying to earn another merit badge. LOL

Thanks Leroy! I'm a fan of Goya. Will have to try this one.
