Japanese Hibachi 1963
Although you mention the Asian kamodos were brittle, I have one that I bought in Japan in 1963 and it is still in great shape. I haven't used it for years, but it has been stored outside during 16 moves with USAF.
I am not interested in selling it (too many memories), but just wondered if there are many orginals from Japan stll around and if they are worth anything. I forget what I paid, but it was quite a little amount.
