Easy Pheasant Chili

My wife has made this in the crock pot, so I thought I'd try it on the egg. I made a double recipe so I could give some to my son (who doesn't live with us) and one of my hunting friends.
Here are the ingredients and the pheasant which we pre-cooked a little in a crockpot. Also, added some of the stock from the crockpot to the mix.
On the egg with some beech wood for a little smoke
My hunting partner-Maggie
Unfortunately, won't get to eat any tonight. Having dinner at a friend's house. Chili's always better when it's reheated anyway!

I love pheasant. Never made chili with it. I'm sure that will taste real good.

bill,
There are a few regulated shooting preserves near my home. One, Pheasant Valley, is 10 minutes away. Maggie is a trained, 4 year old Brittany. She follows me everywhere. And she always finds more birds than I am successful at shooting! I always have some birds in the freezer. We eat lots of pheasant bean soup, grilled pheasant, and recently, pheasant chili.
BTW, I liked your pineapple dessert post-looked really delicious.

I just filled up the freezer with quail, chukar, and pheasant from a great hunt. I'll be making some chili with some of the meat. Great idea!
