Tempe BBQ Festival - March 7th

Tempe BBQ Festival - Saturday March 7th 11am - 4pm
Festival to be held at 8425 S Emerald Dr, Tempe AZ 85284; directly across the street from IKEA. Free to the public Saturday March 7th 11am - 4pm. BBQ plates will be available for sale, and there will be a Four Peaks Brewery Beer garden.
This is an IBCA sanctioned BBQ competition with over $5000 in cash prizes. Contestants will check in and set-up on Friday afternoon.
Professional BBQ Categories include: Chicken, Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs, and Pork. Professional entry fee is $200.
On Saturday there will be a day-of Backyard throw-down event with a $100 entry fee. Backyard contestants can cook on gas or charcoal, and they will compete in the following categories: Chicken, Kabob, Chili, and Best Burger. The $100 entry fee covers entry into all four categories. This is a great opportunity for first time Eggheads to compete. Not to mention there will be prize money for this event as well!
