We got our BGE in 10-06
We go camping as camp host for the month of July at
Assateague Island State Park on the beach
The Big Green Egg would be perfect for the beach campsite cooking but...
How do you transport the BGE without breaking it ?
I drive a Ford F350 and our camper is a 10 Meter Avion.
This is my frist time posting on this forum .
Thanks for ideas re Transporting the BGE

I'd start with a product called the pot lifter. It appears to make it really easy to move it around. Inside the truck or camper you just need to make sure it can't tip over or that anything else will hit it. I would also suggest taking out the insides and wrapping them in a blanket and then put them in a box.

What size egg do you have?

A number of Eggheads have built something similar to this for transportating Eggs, including Large Eggs.
I built mine for my small but it works the same.
I dressed mine up a bit so that when flipped over it will provide more work space and raise the height using the 'chicken' legs.
But even a sturdy cardboard box will work for transporting the Egg.

I’ve taken mine to several BBQ contests… It’s really not too bad. I take all the guts out of mine (LG) lift it out of it’s nest and put it in the front corner of my truck on a piece of carpet with a piece of carpet wrapped around it as well. Then put a strap around it so it can’t go anywhere. I wrap the guts in newspaper and put them in my cab… in the back in a box would be fine too. Get help unloading it though… that’s the tricky part.
