Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad

If I had to look at one more picture of someone grilling Romaine on their egg I was gonna eat my computer screen :evil: . Also made some homemade Cesar salad dressing & roasted peppers along with some anchovies:
The split Romaine:

Pounded the crap out of the chicken, olive oil, salt & pepper:

The roasted peppers, sauteeing in oil & garlic, post roast:

The dressing (forgot the dijon mustard in the pic, but it was in the dressing):

To the Blast Furnace:

On the plate:

Washed it down with my last cold Sammy & my last Moosehead, beer & salad, it works :laugh:

thanksSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -
wow looks really good!! i have yet to grill my romaine, with pics like these i must make an effort to try it!
what no anchovies in your homemade ceasar dressing??? -
Zippy-You're killing me with that dinner. Family stuff all day, including a late (but huge) brunch. I had delusions of skipping dinner, but now I'm starving. Maybe Vanilla Spice eggnog with Capt Morgan for dinner :huh: BTW, you've got mail.

Mike, they are in the little jar to the left of the lemons, & a few extras are laying on top of the finished salad, me likes the anchovies :Phappy in the hut

yea, I know the feeling, but if I was starting dinner now, it would consist of opening a box of cereal & stuffing half of it into my neck on the couch in front of the TVhappy in the hut

2 sqozen lemons;
a few whole anchovies & the oil they float in;
dash of worcestershire sauce;
few scoops of Locatelli or any grated pecorino cheese;
couple teaspoons of dijon mustard;
black pepper;
couple cloves of garlic;
olive oil;
I put all this into a mini chopster, garlic first to mince, then everything else, pulverize.
I do not use raw egg, or any egg.happy in the hut

Nice job Zippylip. I really need to try to Romaine lettuce. You really put out some great stuff.

i see it now!! i thought that jar was capers.

Zippy, I'm suddenly hungry...great-looking salad!
Have you ever coddled eggs for your Caesar dressing? It's a reasonable compromise for those who don't want to consume raw eggs. -
LIke the way that the chicken was prepared (both the crap pounding and the blast furnace--that'll teach that chicken!) Sounds like it was a nice dinner, Zip!

A man after my own heart, anchovies I thought I was the only one that like them. They go with so many things. I guess you have to be a salt nut to like them. Nice buddy.
