Many years ago we had a local pizza joint that made taco pizza, and it was awesome..at least back then...never made one myself..but as I remember they cooked a regular cheese pizza the topped it with taco meat, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes..pretty sure they didn't put it back in the oven with the taco stuff on it..sure was good, and very filling....might have to do some sperimenten myself, now that you reminded of that wonderful pizza...thinkin about it, I might add the taco meat at some point in the oven to make sure it was heated, or add it already hot to the finished cheese pizza..man you got the mind runnin now..and I'm plannin on cookin 6 pies tomorrow for Daytona..

Regis, never made one, but if I did, I would put everything you put in your tacos onto the pie, except the things you would put on cold like the lettuce... , maybe put those on afterwards... use the taco sauce as the sauce under the cheese, then the meat, some cheddar on top, cook, & go from there...happy in the hut

When I was in the pizza business, we had a taco pizza on the menu. We mixed a small amount of refried beans to pizza sauce as the base, then taco seasoned beef for the meat, top with tri blend diced cheese-80% mozzarella, 10% cheddar, 10% provolone. Bake that off and then after baking add lettuce, tomato and shredded cheddar cheese.

I made a taco Pizza a few weeks ago and it was a big hit!
I cooked the ground beef in a skillet like you normally wood but before it was done (still red) i added the taco seasoning.
then I prepared the pizza with a base layer of tomato sauce, added the burger and then covered with the shredded "mexican Cheese blend".
My kids aren't big on veggies so I didn't add any but it would've been a great addition.
I cooked as usual and then served the slices with some sour cream and guacamole.
went over big and the leftovers were great too! -
I tried a Big Mac Pizza, which in some ways may give you inspiration for a Taco Pizza. Here's the link from a few months ago. I don't get as many responses as the vets do, but this was very good.

I'd say, add taco seasoning to the pan when prepping the beef. Replace the Thousand Island with Hunts Diced Tomato as your sauce. Get rid of the pickles and you are close. The key is adding the lettuce and other condiments a minute ot two before taking off the stone. -
hey Mike- actually it was your Big Mac Pizza that gave me the idea for the Taco Pizza I made!
Leftover chicken with BBQ sauce also makes a good pizza! -
Sorry it took so long to get reply back. But I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. I'm definitely going to try some taco pizza now, but unfortunately won't have time util later next week.
I'll let you know how it turns out!!
Thanks again.
