Another DIZZY Experiment

tonight it was boneless chicken breasts and roasted small potatoes. . .[p]dusted chicken breasts with raging river and tsunami spin. . .grilled direct on the egg. . .[p]cut up small new potatoes (don't have yukon golds yet, they are the best for this) into small pieces . . .tossed them in olive oil. .. separated into three sections on a large shallow pan. . .1/3 got just kosher salt (the way we usually eat them). .. 1/3 got tsunami spin. . 1/3 got raging river. . .did them in the oven (i was lazy and didn't do them in the egg - next time) at 400 for about 45 minutes[p]and the verdicts please:[p]1. son sam - loved it all. . .no preferences, but the boy usually doesn't like taters and he scarfed down two helpings. .. [p]2. daughter sydney - still prefers the tsunami spin for chicken (like last night's salmon). . .started off complaining (before trying them) about the spuds. . ."dad, are we gonna eat this on everything?". . .guess what. . .loved the spuds, with either rub. . .[p]3. my loving spouse (see how nice i am?). . .prefered the tsunami spin on the chicken (interesting since she prefered the raging river on the salmon). . and the raging river on the spuds. . .after first trying the tsunami spuds, she said leave well enough alone. . but after trying the raging river spuds, said do it again (god i love those words!! :-). . .[p]4. myself.. . liked both rubs on the chicken, no real preference, they were both excellent!!. . .on the spuds i think i lean towards the raging river. .. that hint of maple just added something special to the spuds. . .[p]can't wait to get some yukon golds and try it again. . .they taste like candy anyway, and with the sugar and maple in the rubs, they ought to be superb. .
