Tried beef for the first time. Flavor was great, just not as tender as the baby back ribs. I cooked the beef ribs for about seven hours at 225. Internal temp only got to about 180.

That looks awesome! I am new on here. How do you put pictures up?

I think you have to put the image on photobucket, then paste the link into your message. If you did it right, you'll see the picture when you preview. My wife had to show me how to do it. Are you a new Egg owner?

That is my exact cook tomorrow! I am about to go rub everything down to sit over night. Never done beef ribs before, but looking forward to it. I will try and post pics if there is a moment to sneak a picture from the grill to our bellies!

Good luck with it. i would budget 8 hours if you plan on cooking at 225 (if you want to get the meat in that 190 degree range. I ran out of time on them tonight (hungry family).

Yes tonight was my first cook with my first egg!

Those ribs really look great. I have cooked beef ribs several times. The last time was the best for me(practice makes perfect). I go with platesetter legs up, or any indirect method, dome @250, go at least 7 hrs but cook to temp to 200 - 205, and they should be real tender. Be sure the membrane is removed, and I also slathered with mustard, then dusted with heavy coat of rub.
