broken fire ring

My fire ring cracked. I understand that this is normal. My question is, if I JB weld the pieces together will this void my warranty if I ever need a replacement?

    my two year old LBGE's fire ring is cracked in three places... I take them out to clean and they go right back together when i'm through... dealer has told me he will replace, just need to take them in... works fine for me now...

    This is not normal! I have four eggs and have never had a broken fire ring, although, it does sometimes happen! If you're the original owner it's covered under warranty. See your dealer or wherever you bought it from and put in a claim......easy-peasy. :lol:

    Agreed -- Easy to replace.

    That said -- I like my fire-ring broken in two. Makes for easy removal, etc.

    I have the replacement stashed away in case mine ever completely disintegrates.

    breaks in the fire rings are less common than breaks in the firebox. I used one fire bix that was in 6 pieces for 4 years, before it became 8 pieces and my dealer replaced it on the spot!

    Ink - As Egret said, it is a waranteed item. Go ahead and get it replaced. It just takes one phone call. Just my two cents. (we replaced ours about 8 months ago, and well worth the phone call)
