grate placement

Does it matter which way the grate is placed? One side has Mexico, and what seems like the underside has blue numbers?

Diana , Yes it does matter. The holes in the grate are conical and the large end of the hole needs to be down and the small hole up. This improves air flow and helps ash fall thru. Otherwise the holes get clogged with ash.

<p />Diana ,[p]The slagmaster is correct about the ceramic grate, but I would suggest that you might want to get a new steel grate from Bge. Your dealer may have them or you can always call Bge in Atlanta and order one. They GREATLY improve airflow, reduce ash clogging and more easily allow fires to be started from placing a Webber fire cuber under the grate.[p]Tim
