Follow up on Hawaiian Kalua pig

I plan on using some kiave or guava wood as smoking chunks in my BGE for cooking Kalua pig. I'm not using liquid smoke. Plan on a straight forward indirect set up cooking a shoulder unwrapped(i.e.no tea or banana leaves).Would the rub just be salt? What else would you add?
