I'm a new egg owner and would like to know if anyone knows where you can get good lump in Louisville, besides the BGE brand.
thanks,
John

Try Wal-Mart. They usually carry Royal Oak in the 8.8 lb bag for around $5.48 it is a really good lump as long as it is american hardwood.

I think there is a GFS on Blankenbaker. Thinking about it, it might not be Blankenbaker. What's the exit before Blankenbaker. The one with Bucco de Beppo and Bonefish Grill. Just north of 64 on the east side. They have some decent lump. Try other pool and patio places. Ones that don't sell BGE, they might carry some other brand of lump. Some of us find Royal Oak at Wally World.

That would be Hurstbourne Lane, and yes I have bought RO at WW in Louisville when there on business but dont recall if it was this time of year..some WW's at home carry it and some don't through the winter... -
Hurstbourne Lane that's it. Thanks for the help. Now the next question, is it a Gordon Food Supply or a Restaurant Depot? It's in the same strip mall as the Bonefish Grill.

is Wally World Walmart?

I 'think' it's a GFS, but it's been a while since I've been over there...ate at the Bonefish not long ago, but had a few to many by the time I left

thanks -- I live in the Highlands so the WM where Bashford Manor used to be is pretty close. I'm pretty sure they sell lump at Keith's Hardware but I'm not sure what the brand is.
